WHAT WE DO |
The Helping Hand Clinic fills a unique niche in our community. Our efforts are focused
on the most vulnerable members of our communicty, those with low income and
no health insurance. We provide them with medical, diagnostic, dental and pharmaceutical
care--free of charge. We customize our services to treat people with chronic illnesses by ensuring the patients see the same doctor on each visit. The dentists are providing care for those in acute pain in their offices. Our pharmacy is well stocked and able to provide the necessary medications to those attended by our physicians as well as those seen at the Emergency Room or other facilities. We are also providing eye care for our clients, particularly those who are diabetic. Currently there are 2 optometrists, an optician and an opthalmologist who provide these exams free of charge. Evy glasses are provided for those who need them. |
